The purpose of the assessment was to gain a better understanding of the systematic barriers to care for patients within the Long Beach area and identify opportunities for collaborative solutions.

Soon we will be rolling out our new brand (Western Health Information Network). And we are in the midst of writing 8 implementation and maintenance proposals for HIE and EHR services.  We have a new strategy of integrating Health Information Exchange along with Electronic Health Record Adoption, and we will be having our first demonstration of a partner EHR at the Planning Committee meeting on January 15, 2010. In addition, we will be giving an update of the HIE services we are providing, and a brief review of the LBNH Community Health Record.
